You probably would want to get some snowboard lessons and all snowboard gear like a snowboard, bindings, boots, helmet (important), etc.
You'll have to practice quite a while if you wanna do some tricks, but first know the basics like carving.
No one likes a poser so don't just act like a snowboarder, actually be one.
You would probably want to dress like one right. So where some clothes from Pac Sun or Zumiez, but try to lay off from Abercrombie, American Eagle, and Hollister. If you want something from Hollister than go to the cash register they usually have snowboard magazines. But, If you want to be a girl snowboarder you might have to act a little tomboyish.
Know some pro-snowboarders like Shaun White, Danny Kass, Kelly Clark or Tina Birbaum.

Know some tricks like 360s, air to fakie, or backside 50-50, etc.
Get a real board not one that you found at Wal-mart, get one from a ski shop with brands like Burton, flow, dc, ride, or forum, etc.
If you can you would like to live where there is snow and mountains.
Be properly protected so wear a helmet, if you want to listen to some music while going down the slopes they make helmets with built in speakers.
Know some snowboarding lingo like sketchy, boned out, sick, betty, or dope.
