How to Appreciate and Perform Music

If you are a musician, than you know how it is when you are trying to learn a difficult piece of music. It can be exciting, confusing, tiring, depressing, and enlightening all at once. This could cause you to lose your appreciation for what you enjoy, music. Follow these steps to learn to appreciate your music.

[edit] Steps

  1. Know exactly what it is that you want to perform before deciding to make a piece. This means planning out what type of music you want to play, the mood, tempo, and melody.
  2. Think about how well the music will be, when you are finished. Pick out the parts you don't like later.
  3. Work out all the difficult measures and piece them together.
  4. Once you've got the piece to where you comfortably feel you could perform it in front of 1,000 people, then try it out on your toughest critic. You might find that you weren't so successful after all, just improve the piece as much as you can.
  5. Enjoy listening to your music.

[edit] Tips

  • When performing in front of an audience, make sure that you have stage presents appropriate for the type of crowd you'll perform for.

[edit] Warnings

  • Ignore very rude criticism of your music, but do listen to constructive criticism.
