How to Argue That Creation of the Eye, Nerve and Processing Were Simultaneous
What would you think of a person who saw a computer chip, a little wafer of silicon that had the complexity of 100,000 transistors with prongs sticking out so that it plugged into a special socket on a computer and worked. Then the person said, "Wow a series of events in nature formed that computer chip. Isn’t it marvelous that it all happened without a maker?"
You would think that person was worse than just confused. Yet, the evolutionist essentially proposes that is exactly how the optic center in the brain came to exist, and that is a far more complex processor than the most advanced computer chip. So the optic nerves and the eye and the retina all evolved by a series of natural events with no designer? The intricacies of the eye questions the credibility of evolution by failed bits and pieces.
Evolutionists argue that mutated features which improve a creature’s chance for survival get passed on and multiplied? What good would the various parts of an eye be separately toward survival of that system and life form? How can the intricacies of eyesight exist at all since eyesight requires many simultaneously existing parts all by accident and all unrelated events.
[edit] Steps
- Examine the eye parts. The retina nerves alone without a successful nerve from the retina to the brain, or wonderful processing by the brain alone--without the successful retina--would neither one have any value, as such useless structures would not have aided survival.
- See the independently formed parts, unrelated parts wouldn’t have a reason to exist or to become related! As they would have no plan, they would not develop the intricate, simultaneous, interrelated, co-dependent system (all requiring each other) for simultaneous success!
- Consider the pupil of the eye and the retina that did not exist at exactly the same moment--would they ever "get together" since they would not help survival separately.
- If the focal distance and the correct shape of eye did not “come about” at the necessary, right distance from the photoreceptors in the retina, the eye nerves wouldn’t have any reason to exist.
- If the bag of fluid which forms the lens did not appear in the eye at the same time as photoreceptors regardless of the distance it would be useless to the individuals success.
- If the retinal nerves network did not “exist” exactly at the same moment as the pupil and eyeball did, the eye wouldn’t see because the exposed nerve would either die or scar over.
- A large intricate nerve-bundle alone has no value. In fact if there were no existing functional eye, the optic nerve would have no reason to exist.
- If the optic nerve bundle (which carries the nerve signals of the light “images” to the brain) were not “involved” and successfully engaged exactly at the same moment as the retinal nerve network, then lack of simultaneous success would mean that the "eye, nerve-connection, brain" couldn’t see.
- If the sight center of the brain that “sees” did not “begin” to correctly process sight at exactly at the same moment as the optic nerve, then the nerve would have no reason to go to the brain and the eye wouldn’t see.
- Observe the simultaneously required existence of the entire eye and all its functions plus the optic nerve from the eye to the brain and especially the sight center in the brain itself. All of its advanced functions, and its interrelationships are all required to exist (at the exact same instant), or the eye would have no function or reason to exist. It could not work.
- See that the a dysfunctional part of an eye would not enhance survival and so the eye should not exist at all as it is not logical to expect any subsequent improvement by more mutations (genetic failures) on top of the failed system.
[edit] Tips
- Try to imagine how the eye, hand, foot and hearing are all coordinated by accident. That alone is beyond imagining.
- An under-developed (non-functioning) eye is no eye at all and no improvement to the creature that possessed it. It would be worthless. Why would that exist?
- If worthless, there is no reason for a undeveloped system to get passed on in its halfway development while it awaits further mutation for changes which would have no reason to help the mass of useless objects.
- So there would be no need for an eye socket or eyelid, cyst-like eyeball, bag of water--without a retina, with useless connectors. What sight center and what coordination with muscles would that imply?
- How would evolution retain the useless undeveloped eye which would be no improvement to its unsighted owner? It would never have had a reason or ability to develop or continue...
[edit] Warnings
- The eye cannot be a product of evolution. Instead, it speaks clearly that there is the master design and great Designer, the ingenious Creator. The eye questions the credibility of evolution by bits and pieces.
- The awesome and scarily precise nature of sight is just a single part of the whole person. Think about the many other similarly complex systems that are required to simultaneously support your life.
