How about a really unusual way to propose? Writing your message in skywriting and having it fly high above everyone is one amazing way that your partner won't ever forget.
[edit] Steps
- Locate a suitable company that is able to perform skywriting. Use the Yellow Pages™ or surf the internet to get an idea of companies willing to do this in your area.
- Find out how much it would cost. It is likely to be expensive and if you have the chance to get comparison prices, do so.
- Tell the skywriter all the information if you still want to go through with it. Make it short, pithy and obvious.
- Take your girlfriend/boyfriend to a romantic place in view of the writing. Keep them distracted but keep an eye on the timing. The timing should be worked out well in advance, as well as working out where a suitable location is to view the message.
- Tell them to look up at the appropriate moment.
[edit] Tips
- Have the ring ready.
- Ask for the places the writing will be able to be viewed from so you can take your date there.
- If you cannot do be with them at the time, or you don't want to be in order to add to the surprise element, arrange for them to look out of the window from work or wherever they might be at the time this happens. You might need to get a friend involved
- Make sure it's sunny.
