Be nice to the friend who could take you home all day.
When you see your friend at the end of the day, say something like, "Look! Its miss I don't have to ride the bus," or "You are so lucky. I hate the bus," and sigh subtly.
If your friend asks, say, "Oh I don't know, it would be too much trouble for your mom," wait a second, then say, "But if it's okay..."
Make sure it is okay with both of your parents. If one parent says no, claim you already missed the bus.
Be very polite the whole ride so the parent doesn't regret driving you home.
Thank your friend and his/her parent for the ride home while getting out of the car.

If the friend says no, be polite and don't ask again for a week or so.
If the parent is busy or has a lot of other kids to pick up don't ask because they will become stressed.
If the parent or friend already looks stressed don't ask; it will lower the chances of them saying yes.
