How to Ask a Girl out at an Informal Dance

So you're at a non-formal dance and so is your crush. This could be the night. Well, she seems out of your league, and dreaming about it is not going to make it happen. You've got to take action. But it's so hard and kind of embarrassing. So here's how to gain the confidence to do it.

[edit] Steps

  1. Before the dance, if you don't already, get to know her.
  2. Also get to know her friends and make good impressions, because at the dance, what they say about you will be more than 60% of her decision.
  3. Prepare. You have to look, smell, and feel great. Take a shower or bath in advance, find an outfit that consists of a polo and jeans preferably, and apply body spray, deodorant, and antiperspirant. You don't want to be sweating and smelling bad while you dance.
  4. At the dance, get with a group of 10-15 friends, preferably all guys. This will help later.
  5. Have your friends tell your crush and her friends that you like her and tell them to ask her if she likes you and wait for her response if you think that there is a good chance she likes you back. By the way, you shouldn't be doing this if you know she doesn't like you. This may make you see less confident, so you may want to ask her in person.
  6. Wait till the slow dance segment and when she's only with a few friends to actually ask her.
  7. Approach her with a few of your friends trailing you. This creates intimidation and increases your chances of a yes.
  8. Ask her. Say, "Hey, would you like to dance," Naturally, you will and should be a little nervous; Here's the thing though: That little bit of nervousness will mess with her mind and further convince her to say yes.
  9. If she says yes, wait till the next song. When it plays, put your hands around her waist and sway from side to side. That's really all you need to do. Your and her friends will probably be taking pictures/videos, and you can look at some of the cameras, but stay interested in her.

[edit] Tips

  • Wear Axe. It smells really sexy at the time when you need to the most.
  • Smile as you ask, it makes you look attractive.
  • If your friends say don't keep your hopes up, do keep your hopes up because first of all, even if they don't like you, number one, it's polite to say yes and rude to say no, number two, bravery is sexy, number three, your supposed to be doing this because you are pretty sure she likes you back even if they think that it's impossible.

[edit] Warnings

  • Don't sulk if she actually says no. Be cool about it. And don't turn your back to her if you walk away. Besides, if your her friend, she'll usually ask if you want to dance casually, not romantically.
  • Don't use too much Axe.
