How to Audition for Willie Wonka Jr

Here are some guidelines for auditioning for Willie Wonka Jr.

  1. Find a song. This is the most important part of the auditioning process, and please sing a real song from a musical.
  2. Go to [Broadwayjr.com/audition Broadway Junior Audition] and click on the Willie Wonka icon.
  3. Decide on 3-4 parts you want to be. Here are some suggestions:

    • A lead (Charlie, Willie Wonka, Candy Man)
    • A child (Veruca Salt, Violet, Augustus Gloop, Mike TV)
    • A parent/grandparent (Mrs. Bucket, Mr. Bucket, a grandparent, Ms TV, Mr. Salt, Violet's mom, Mrs. Gloop)
    • A chorus member with a few lines (James and Matilda).
  4. Know what you are good at. For example, if you are an extremely good dancer and can sing in a group, audition for and oompa-loompa.
  5. Find the scripts and practice them.
