Hair: You're black and you're a girl. So, most likely your hair is pretty movable/flexible. Take a brush, (try not to use a comb unless you're most comfortable with this), and brush the front of your hair (from your crown) so it falls into your face. Make sure you've got a good amount of hair (not too much so you don't have any hair in the back and not to little so when you go outside it flows everywhere in the wind). Now, move the hair in front of your face to the side and put a clip in it to hold it (and make you look super kawaii [a.k.a cute]). Another cute scene style that is acceptable around your friends/family is putting your hair into a low ponytail, and letting your bang[of course] and random chucnks of hair fall down where your sideburns should be.
- If you want front bangs do the same thing but instead of moving your hair to the side, just brush it down your face and find a length that you like and snip snip. Also put a hairclip or headband of your liking.
Makeup: Simple. Just wear some eyeliner (preferably dark), mascara (is an option, personally I just wear it on really special occasions), and some foundation (if you've got some blemishes or acne/zits). You can wear any color eyeshadow if you want. But remember it all depends on your skin tone, do not DARE to go out of the house, let alone your room wearing neon eyeshadow and your a mahogany color. Its more acceptable if you wear dark eyeshadow. Some times white mascara can be hot too. [it really stands out]
Clothes/Accessories: Skinny Jeans are a must. Flare jeans are just unnaceptable. Also if you have any graphic tees [tee shirts with words or pictures on them] wear it!. Some major scene characters to wear on your shirt are Hello Kitty, Gloomy Bear, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and basically any wacky looking things. If you dont feel like wearing skinny jeans and you want to wear leggings, you MUST wear a tutu. If you want to wear pantyhose, they must be designed and you have to wear and oversized tee. For shoes, wear converse,vans, or flats. Nike dunks are also becoming popular.But NEVER boots, A long pearl necklace wrapped around two or 3 times if you feel for it. and bracelets/rings are also cute.

One or two hair clips are good. DON'T GO OVER THAT AMOUNT (unless you can really pull it off without looking like a five year old). Remember: less is more.
Don't wear hairspray or gel! It will kill your hair. If anything, just use grease. If you really must use hairspray for a special occasion (pics, shows, etc), be sure to use a really good creamy conditioner for a while before to get your hair nice, or do some hot oil treatments before and after. if you also straighten your hair, this is especially important.

START SLOWLY WITH CLOTHES/MAKEUP. First off, you WILL be called a poser. Don't start to quickly because (especially) if you have parents from another country, they'll be all "WTF?" and start complaining about your new look. Remember: Start slow.
Don't throw away your old friends with your new look if you start gaining new ones.
Make sure you're changing for YOU, not because it's the new trend.
