How to Be a Feminist Without Displaying Your Victimhood Complex

Feminism shouldn't be anti-men. It should be about addressing sexism against women without appearing like a perpetual victim. If you feel there are things women have bad, fine. Just stop pretending it's all there is in the argument.

[edit] Steps

  1. Stop whining about patriarchy. Men make up some of the most powerful positions in the world, but also the least powerful as well. Men make up almost all workplace related deaths and represent most of the workforce of the most dangerous and least desirable jobs in the labor market. Google top 10 most dangerous jobs.
  2. Stop claiming you're oppressed. It's fine to complain about things you think are unfair against women: misogynist lyrics in rapper songs for example, or the slut/stud double standards when it comes to sex. Men have their fair share of problems too and we suck it up and deal with it because we have to.
  3. Stop using shaming language. It doesn't work. Men who are against feminism aren't 'afraid' or 'threatened', they're pissed off because of things like the Pink Bible getting a free pass in society and being told they're violent, abusive, stupid and inferior by the next-gen feminists. Google radical feminist quotes and decide if you think they have anything to do with gender equality.
  4. Take men seriously. Stop pretending we don't know what we are talking about about certain issues. We're sick of being laughed at as helpless and sad, unable to function without women. It just makes women look like arrogant asses and doesn't help your cause.

[edit] Tips

  • Don't be greedy. Both genders have problems, part of yours is you refuse to accept men have any. (See the story of Erin Pizzey)
  • Don't put the shields up when criticism of your feminism comes up. Be calm, rational. Emphasize you are not anti-men. Defend your points calmly.
  • Make it known you have problems with a certain way in which women are treated and put it across in a rational manner. Crying victim hood and blaming everyone for your problems never helped anyone.
  • You aren't slaves in a cabal of men, you are slaves in a cabal of rich people. Most men are slaves right alongside you and would happily support you if you weren't so exclusive in your complaints.
