How to Be a Good Big Brother or Sister

Here's some tips on being a good older sibling:

[edit] Steps

  1. Don't steal stuff from younger siblings.
  2. If you borrow stuff from them, let them borrow stuff from you.
  3. Babysit when needed.
  4. Be patient and help them with their homework.
  5. Stand up for them.
  6. Don't make fun of them.
  7. Attend their sporting events, plays, etc.
  8. Congratulate them for their achievements.
  9. Hang out with them.
  10. Make them comfortable with you; not just when they are apart from you. Let them trust you.
  11. Protect them from anything harmful.
  12. Play with them sometimes, but don't hassle them if you're better in their games!

[edit] Tips

  • Put yourself in their shoes.
  • Don't argue with them at all. It will just lose you some respect.

[edit] Warnings

  • Save some time for yourself too.
