How to Celebrate Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras happens early in the calendar year, just before the beginning of Lent. This year, plan a nice celebration.

- Order or make a King Cake to serve at the party.
- Decide on the type of drinks to serve and select your choice of refreshments.
- Decorate the masks with feathers, and other brightly colored craft supplies.
- Decide who you are inviting, and make decorative invitations and send them out about two weeks before the big day.
- Find or order festive and exiting music.
- Turn on the music just before friends arrive so that they will walk into a party atmosphere.
- Play any instruments you have.
- Have a parade.
- Dance and shake your necklaces around!

- As part of fun, you can have friends decorate their own masks at the party.
- Have a lot of necklaces. They are very cheap and some might get lost or broken.
