How to Celebrate Odd Sock Day

Odd Socks Day was created to increase the awareness of blindness and vision impairment.[1] Odd Socks Day is every year on the nearest Saturday to 24th May.

[edit] Steps

  1. Wear your favorite pair of funky, odd socks.
  2. Sell flashing dog badges from your home, school, workplace or community group (Toby is a Royal Society for the Blind Guide Dog) or raise money for charity in other ways.
  3. Color some pictures of socks!
  4. Make sock puppets.
  5. Create an obstacle course and run through it with a sock on your head.
  6. Fill socks with beans and try to throw them into a basket.
  7. Have a sock race. Attach a bean filled sock to a large cardboard tube with a length of string. Have the racers sit in chairs. Whoever reels in the sock first wins!
