How to Clean Glasses
Glasses can be tough to clean. Here are some ways to get them to shine.
[edit] Steps
- Take out your glasses from the glasses case.
- Put the glasses under the light to see if the lenses are clean.
- If the glasses are not clean use a wet cotton towel to tidy them. Never use a dry cloth to clean your glasses because the particles can scratch the lenses.
- If doing this does not make your glasses clean, try washing the lenses under water.
- Make some soap bubbles and put these bubbles on lenses.
- Wipe off dirt, grease, and fingerprints on the lenses using a wet cloth. Using your fingers is a bad idea because your fingers are very oily and dirty.
- After this, use water to rinse these bubbles out.
- Dry the glasses with a cotton cloth or lens tissue. Or you can dry the glasses by using a hair dryer. Do NOT use facial tissue. It is a wood product and the large wood fibers can do serious damage.
[edit] Tips
- If you have detergents, you can replace soap by detergents.
- Wiping them when dry might cause tiny particles of dirt and dust etc. to scratch them. Eventually this will make the lenses appear cloudy and you will not be able to see clearly.
[edit] Warnings
- Don’t wash your glasses with hot water. Because some lenses or frames may be made of plastic, plastics can’t stand high temperatures.
- When you want to dry the lenses, don’t just let them be dried by air. Because it may make some stains of water on the lenses.
- DON'T use circular finger motions to clean your glasses, a straight side-to-side motion works a lot better.
- DON'T use soap if your glasses have anti-glare coating. This will degrade the anti-glare coating.
