How to Find a Perfect Bedroom Theme (Teen)

Almost all of us have been in this situation -- unable to find a theme for redecorating your bedroom, within budget. Get rid of that ugly dark purple and step inside a nice bright room with a beautiful theme!

[edit] Steps

  1. You may want to make a theme according to a place or idea, so all you have to do is think. What do YOU like? Maybe you like horses, nature, or even have a fetish for French people! Simply find this idea, and bring it forward to think of it here. Quick! Get a piece of paper! Now write it down on the top, really big so that you like it. Make a title for each of the following numbers.
  2. Now, what sort of things have to do with this? Maybe you picked a pirate theme, so you should put something down like, "Parrots, ships, the ocean, treasure, sailing." So what next? Don't just sit there chewing on your pencil. Think, think, think! What else? Maybe something more into it like "hammocks" in the pirate's sleeping quarters.
  3. Now that you have these down, ponder about how you can add these to your new room.
  4. If you had any kind of different theme and are thinking "What?" To the paragraph above, let me give you another example. Say your room theme is red white and blue. You might wish to purchase a red chair or bedspread. Write these ideas down as well, underneath everything else.
  5. Try to work out other things you can do, like bed skirts and furniture and even lampshades. What colors would go with your theme? For a pirate theme, maybe brown or red would suffice. Write these down as well.
  6. Go to a local store or purchase the required items online. Be sure to clear out your old furniture!

[edit] Tips

  • One of the colors in your list could be used for a wall color. I'd suggest a light one, because a dark one would make your room seem... ugly.
  • Ask some of your friends or relatives for help! Maybe they have ideas!

[edit] Warnings

  • Make sure you are definite with your decision, otherwise changing it would be very expensive and time-consuming.
