How to Find an Idol
Have you ever felt like you needed someone to look up to? Someone that is a role model, an idol? This article may help.
[edit] Steps
- Make a list of the things you like. What are your favorite hobbies, activities, or things to do? It doesn't matter if you love shopping, drinking Starbucks, and getting manicures or if you like playing chess, calculating equations, and watching Star Wars, but in that case it is OK. Be honest. Think of things you actually enjoy.
- Look around in popular magazines, books, Television, and Internet pages to find someone you adore. But checking out National Geographic isn't bad either. Remember, you can also find the most amazing idol in everyday life. If you love singing, maybe the Music director is your idol. Who knows until you look?!
- Make sure you've found the right person. If they are loyal, fit the qualities you're looking for, and totally are into the same stuff as you, there's a clue. Remember, there's more than looks. Get to know the person, and if they're a celebrity, they might not have the time to hang with a total LBR, but send them fan mail and keep up with what they do. Try not to be a stalker though... that might turn them off.
[edit] Tips
- Look for somebody who is similar to you and someone who you adore not who are friends are all about. Just because they're totally crushing on Zac Efron, doesn't mean you can't be into Akon.
- If you're having trouble, try talking to friends or others and asking their opinion. Maybe you like what they like.
- Don't give up when you're having trouble finding an idol. Sometimes they're right under your nose (figuratively, of course).
- Remember to be amazingly beautiful 24/7 in case someone wants you for an idol!
[edit] Warnings
- Don't go too far. Nobody is perfect; remember to stay yourself and understand that every human has flaws.
