How to Fit In
Are there people that you really want to fit in with? If so, then this is definately the article you should read.
[edit] Steps
- Be yourself. People should like you for you or they are not worth it.
- Email each other. And if you don't have an email address, then call each other on the telephone. You may feel a lot more comfortable with that person when you are not face to face with them.
- Associate with them. You will fit in with them if you know more about them. And, you will feel a lot more comfortable when you are with them.
- Invite them to hang out at your house. They and you will probably act totally different when you are not around the rest of your friends.
- Crack a joke. People like a good sense of humor.
- Learn to laugh at yourself. If you do something dorky, make a joke about it or laugh at yourself.
- Hold your head high. Learn to have that "I don't really care" attitude. When you have confidence, the people you are around will have more confidence. They will notice this and try to be around you more.
- Ignore them if they are mean or snotty. They are not worth it.
- Have fun with them, most likely that is all they want to do.
- Be positive, nobody likes to hang out with the cynic of the school, they bring people down

- If you won't be yourself, there will be a big mess.
- Don't be shy around them.
- Don't be afraid. That is the worst thing you can do is be afraid and not be confident in yourself.
- Don't be overbearing and shadow them. That means don't copy, follow, and try too hard with them. You shouldn't have to. And they don't like when people copy and follow them.
- Don't always try to dress cool. Dress in clothes you feel comfortable in; if you don't even like the clothes, don't wear them!
- Don't try to impress them, they will catch on sooner or later and it will make them not want to be your friend.
- Don't get discouraged if you make an embarrassing move.
