Learn about your fishtank. There is a type of bacteria that lives in your tank that eats all your fish waste and if you clean your filter every week or so under tap water you are killing all of them.
Instead of doing that, take out some tank water, put it into a bucket and then wash it. This way all the bacteria can still be in your tank and stop the cloudiness from coming back and killing your fish.
Also, if you think your fish are sick, do not just put treatment in the water, because it also kills the bacteria, so take your fish out and put them in a different tank and treat them.
Then once they are healthy again, put them back into the original tank and it should be fine.
