How to Fold a Mini Paper Skateboard

This is a featured article. Click here for more information.

Miniature plastic skateboards known as fingerboards and tech decks are becoming popular toys, with countless tricks at the tips of your fingers. Fortunately, you don't need to purchase one to have fun. You can just use paper!

[edit] Steps

  1. Get an A4 sheet of paper. Scrap/used paper is good because it does not waste resources, but computer paper is neater.
  2. Fold it in half width-wise three times.

Folds are made at the red line
  3. Fold it lengthwise into three even parts.
  4. Fold the four corners under the side with the fold showing.
  5. Lay the skateboard so that the corners are folded down and pinch the edges up and together.
  6. Bend the ends together to make the skateboard concave. Work out the folds so they get loose, creating "wheels".
  7. Practice - it might take a day, but you will find your own way of doing all the skate tricks. Kickflips, treflips (360 flips), and hardflips are all able to be done on your new paper fingerboard!
