How to Follow the Trends

With all the millions of fashion magazines out there, what trend do you follow? You're told to wear this vintage dress tomorrow, but then another person says this. Ay yi yi! What are you going to do? Well, this article will teach you everything you need to know to follow the trends.

[edit] Steps

  1. Subscribe to Seventeen or a similar young person's fashion magazine. This will keep you updated on changing styles.
  2. Once you get an up-to-date issue of it, look at the styles shown. Go out, and use those styles as a reference, looking for items that have those looks but that have something that makes them 'you'. (Otherwise, you're just copying...so not cool.)
  3. Don't repeat what you wear a day ever again. Throw it in the "out" pile instead. Then wear something totally new the next day.
  4. Mix and Match! Get a whole bunch of basics for you to spice up old outfits with. That way, when your clothes go out of style, these basics will still be usable.
  5. Have fun with what you wear! If you feel confident, you'll look confident!

And just remember that if something isn't your style and you don't really like it, it won't look good. Look for what you like first, and then look for the current trends.

[edit] Tips

  • Add little accessories to spice up your look! A little can go a long way!

[edit] Warnings

  • People who don't know what fashion is all about will make fun of what you're wearing but don't let that fool you. Instead, answer back, "Umm, I guess you haven't checked in the mirror lately" and walk away with pride.
