How to Form a Small Youth Club
Would you like to start your own youth club with activities focused only on young people? It can be difficult to start a club at first but it is worth it if you are passionate about the reason for forming your club. Here are some easy instructions for young club members to follow in starting up their own youth club.
[edit] Steps
- Ask your parents for permission. This is the first and most important thing to do. They might have suggestions, ideas and even warnings to consider. They might also even have a room for you to hold meetings in.
- Decide on what your youth club is going to be about. It should be very simple at first. Ask any friends interested in forming the youth club with you to suggest ideas.
- Name your club. Make the name catchy.
- Make a club kit. Sit down with your friends and make a club card with a secret code or marking on it, a flier with information on the club and anything else that you think will help to make your club special.
- Find a space for your club. If you are lucky enough to have a place that you can keep just for your club, set up chairs, tables, TV, posters, music and more types of entertainment, such as boardgames and a game console if possible.
- Meet regularly. A club is only fun if you can get together frequently and share ideas and have fun together doing activities.
[edit] Tips
- Take all opinions from the members.
- Have rules for joining and how to behave at club meets.
- Don't be bossy or the other members will leave.
[edit] Warnings
- If you are lazy about the club people will leave.
- If you get to the stage where you feel you have to ban someone from your club, do this by talking to others in the club first and offer the person who is going to be banned an opportunity to explain his or her behavior.
