If you want to get A's and B's on your report card, here is a step by step guide on how you do it.

[edit] Steps

  1. Take notes, but don't write every word the teacher says; just the important stuff: (how to do certain things, test dates, and tips)
  2. GO TO BED EARLY, NOT PAST 10:00-10:30. That way you'll be able to pay better attention to the teacher and not fall asleep in class, a surefire way to get a bad grade.
  3. On the night before the test, get to sleep between 9:00 to 9:45. In the morning, eat a big breakfast(one including a protein like bacon, a carbohydrate like cereal, a fruit like oranges, and a dairy such as milk. On your way to school, look over the notes you took. If you took proper notes, you should get a B. Eat breakfast at school; they usually have a balanced breakfast program.
  4. Get on your teachers good side. On the first day, be very kind to them. Be attentive and participatory. This way if you receive an 92.6%(B) or 89% she might give you a 93.0%(A) or 90. If you get a bad grade, ask if your teacher could help you after school or during their planning period. In addition, raise your hand a lot. Teachers love this.
  5. Make sure you turn in all your assignments on time. not only will this help your grades by not being late, it shows you teachers that you are a responsible student. Also, do all your homework/projects and turn them in on time as well. Late work gets late credit, which is usually less.
  6. Always feel free to do extra credit.

[edit] Tips

  • Always ask questions if you are confused. There is no reason why you should fail a test over a misunderstanding.
  • Have a routine. Set up a space and a time where you can study and do your homework each day. Get a good light and a comfy chair (but not too comfy)
  • Have a dictionary and thesaurus on hand. They come in handy
