How to Get Freeview

Freeview is a free digital satellite service available in the United Kingdom.

  1. Purchase a Freeview set-top box, or ID box you have digital TV.
  2. Install a digital aerial. Either an indoor or outdoor model will work.
  3. Connect the aerial to the box and the box to your television.
  4. Tune up your box to start receiving channels.

  • Check the Freeview website to ensure your home is in an area that can receive Freeview signals.

  • Digital aerials don't exist. Freeview is broadcast over the same frequncies as analog TV, so current aerials should work.
