How to Get Games for Zune

Zune is a useful portable music/video/picture player, but it can also hold games. This article can help you get games on the Zune.

  1. Download the needed software To begin, you need Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.0 and Visual C# 2008 Express Edition. Make sure to install Visual C# before Game Studio.
  2. Connect Your Zune Plug your Zune in. Open up Microsoft XNA Game Studio. Click on the monitor with the red X in it on the upper-right toolbar to open the device center. Click on "Add Device" and then click on your zune. After your Zune is done connecting to the software, move on to the next step.
  3. Download Some Games You can use Google, Zune boards and other Zune sites to download Zune Games.
  4. Unzip The Game Files Unzip the game and click on the game file. This will open Visual C#.
  5. Add the Game Go to Build-Deploy (Game Name). The game will automatically be added to your Zune.

  • Exiting a third party game will force it to restart. This is unavoidable and cannot be remedied.
