How to Get Glue from Mouse Trap off Cat

Have you ever bought one of those glue mouse trap only to find thtat your zany cat happened to get stuck in it? Here's how to get all the glue off the cat.

[edit] Steps

  1. Read up on how to bathe a cat.
  2. Pour vegetable oil on glue-covered area of the cat.
  3. Rub the oil in well.
  4. Place cat in tub or sink, preferably in the bathroom. Shut the door.
  5. Lather the cat, preferably with cat shampoo. The shampoo will remove the oil more readily if it is applied before wetting down the cat.
  6. Rinse well with mildly warm water. Be aware that running water is a frightening sound for the cat and will probably make it more upset than it already is about getting wet.
  7. Attempt to dry the cat with towels, then release it to sulk and lick itself.

[edit] Tips

  • If you don't shut the door, be prepared to have your cat dash out of bathroom.

[edit] Warnings

  • Expect "Fluffy" to be a little unhappy for an hour or so.
  • Not using glue traps in the first place is the best thing you can do, since prevention is better than the cure.

[edit] Things You'll Need

  • Cooking oil (any kind will do)
  • Cat shampoo or mild baby shampoo. (Failing that, at least avoid harsh or scented soaps. Dog shampoo is not acceptable.)
  • Water
  • A cat
