How to Get Great Clothes for Under $20.00

You don't have to pay 60.00 for a shirt or dress just to look good, this article tells you how to look hot on a budget.

[edit] Steps

  1. Go to teen stores like Urban Planet, Garage, American Eagle, Pacsun, Aeropostale, or any other place that sells teen clothes in the mall.
  2. Always look for items on sale.
  3. Listen to your friends. If your friend tells you about a great deal they got at a store, go to that store! Just don't buy the exact same thing.
    • If your friend finds a top, she has dibs. If it comes in other colours you can get a different colour, just make sure you don't wear the same item on the same day :S
  4. Get clothing that fits you, if you wear a large or medium, and you can only find sizes smaller than yours, ask the sales clerk if they have a larger size, if not, FORGET IT! It's better not having 1 top then having a top that makes you look FAT
  5. When buying clothing, buy clothes that suite your shape, example: if your a bit chubby, don't wear a tight shirt, if your skinny, wear skinny jeans. A shirt that flows always looks nice on EVERYBODY, when your chubby, it hides your stomach, if your skinny it gives you a bit of shape.

[edit] Tips

  • Always grab your size
  • Pick colours that flatter your body (Dark skin people look nice in brighter colours like white, yellow and light pink, where as white people look better in colours like blue, red, purple and green)
  • Everyone can pull off a dress, even if your 250 pounds, it just depends on what kind of dress you get
  • Don't go to more expensive stores, even if you can afford it, I saw a top at le chataue for $84.00 , later on, I looked in Urban Planet, and found a shirt that looked almost exactly the same, for $12.00
  • This season, anything goes! you can pair a red dress with dark blue shoes and a yellow bag and it will still look good.
  • Bring a friend or relative with you, someone that you trust, that has a decent sense of style, and knows what fits you. Tell them to be brutal when criticizing you. This way, if your rolls are sticking out, they will tell you
  • Big clothes tend to make fat people look fatter.

[edit] Warnings

  • If normally wear a medium top, and it seems too tight, get a large, it will look better on you, most stores have their own version of small medium and large so, it really depends on the store.
  • When your buying heels for the first time, get wedges as you have 50% less chance of falling and twisting your ankle.
  • When you go to the mall, make sure you go at least 5 hours before it closes, you don't want to be half naked in the change room and have them drag you out of the building

[edit] Things You'll Need

  • Money
  • A day to spend at the mall
  • Comfortable shoes that you can walk in
  • A friend or relative to criticize
