How to Get Rid of Plovers

Is it hard for you to go outside into your own backyard, because of the fear of being swooped by Plovers? Well, here's the solution (without harming the birds):

[edit] Steps

  1. Get a pair of gloves, and a washing basket.
  2. Go outside, with the washing basket over you head, and the gloves firmly on your hands.
  3. Locate their nest (on the ground somewhere).
  4. Slowly approach the nest, taking care not to make any sudden movements.
  5. Pick up the eggs, and move them to a safe place away from your backyard, making sure the Plovers see where you take the eggs.

[edit] Tips

  • The Plovers will very likely swoop you, but do not be afraid as the washing basket will protect you.

[edit] Warnings

  • Make sure you do not harm the Plovers as they are a protected species and there is a fine.
  • Make sure you wear a washing basket as they have sharp talons that can cause great harm.
