How to Get Rid of Unwanted Facial Hair on Chin and Upper Lip

Removal of unwanted facial hair. There are several different options, depending on the amount of hair and the color.

[edit] Steps

  1. Wax at home or in a salon. At home kits can be tricky. Salon waxing can be pricey. It can be very painful and lead to swelling and redness.
  2. Do not shave. While it seems like a fast fix it is not. Once your facial hair grows back it'll be much more noticable and stubly.
  3. Consider laser hair removal but do your research first as most 'advice' comes direct from laser hair removal salons!
  4. Undergo electrolysis. This costly, but permanent and effective method is one of the better ways to go, if you can afford it.
  5. Use hair buffers and deterrents. These can be helpful, but some are harsh on skin, leaving rashes.

[edit] Tips

  • Consult a salon that does hair removal to discuss with them what your best options would be.

[edit] Warnings

  • Be careful of certain products for hair removal. Many can not be used on the face.
  • Others intended for the face can still be rough and cause skin irritation.
