How to Get Your Boyfriend to Pay More Attention to You and Not His Friends

Focus less on what your boyfriend is doing, and more on yourself. Soon, you won't be so concerned about how much attention he's paying to you, and it'll make him want you more.

[edit] Steps

  1. Care about yourself. Do what you want to do, don't spend time worrying over how you look in the mirror. This gets expensive and obsessive. Plus, if he's going out with you for your looks, he probably wants your body more than your heart.
  2. Too many girls become anorexic or bulimic over their stupid boyfriends. Don't worry about it.
  3. Be independent. Make sure you have your own interests and friends, if he goes out with his friends then go out with yours and hang around. Try out for a sports team that you like; don't let him hold you back from your hobbies.
  4. Be yourself around him. He will love to have conversation with you AND his friends if you can talk and joke with them. Don't worry about "is he laughing" or w/e, just make yourself part of his circle of friends.
  5. A girlfriend is still a friend, so be sure to be there for him when he needs it most, and he should be there for you, too.
  6. Ultimately, ask yourself if you really want a boyfriend who doesn't pay enough attention, and it might be time to end the relationship. If he is not paying attention to you, it might be his way of saying,"He's just not that into you"

[edit] Tips

  • Don't be jealous! That results in a low self-esteem and is not cute.
  • Don't worry too much about changing him. Remember you were drawn to the boy BEFORE you were dating. If something needs tweaking do a little behavior modification. Show him by being a role model.
  • When you are going out with your boyfriend, don't always expect him to always come up with the date plan. Add your own input.
  • Don't mind when your boyfriend has a "night out with the guys"

[edit] Warnings

  • Being obsessive over things he does or where he is will make the man run a mile.
  • Leave him alone and be interested in building up your own self esteem.
  • You might want to evaluate as to why you are in a relationship that is not satisfactory to you. Perhaps its time to move on.
