How to Get Your Cat to Like You
So your cat hightails it every time you enter the room? Get scratched every time you try to pet it? You will find that the method suggested here works with most cats--even those who are complete strangers to you!

- kneel down low so that your the same height as the cat. That way the cat will be less intimidated and won't be scared of you as much.
- So you're scared that the cat might scratch you? Wear full-sleeved clothes the first time you meet it.
- To make your cat start liking you, give it a treat. The cat will then start to realize you're a source of food and not something that will harm it.
- Stroke the cat softly on the forehead (most cats LOVE that)
- Increase your social between you and the cat by stroking it, giving it treats and playing with it.
- Treat the cat with love and care.

- If you get down on your knees, you are a lot less threatening to a cat.
- If possible let the cat approach you first. Put out your hand and let it sniff it before approaching it.
- In the summer months, your cat will get hot. Make sure to keep it cool by putting on a fan or even letting it play with an ice cube.
- Cats love it when you massage its forehead, tickle it under the chin, rub its belly and stroke it on its back.

- After you get scratched by your cat, be sure to wash it thoroughly with hot water and dettol. The scratches will start to disappear in 3 weeks.
- If your cat seems to hate you and scratches you, take it to the vet
- Dont stamp your foot near a cat.
- "Never hit your cat"! It is very abusive.
