Make a list. Organize it by subject. List all the assignments you need to get done.
Get all your supplies ready. Get your homework together.
Choose a good work space. Your desk or even the kitchen table are good places to work.
Read a chapter from your favorite book, check your email, or read the newspaper. Do something to get your brain ready to do work.
Get started! Tackle the list and start on your homework. You'll be surprised how much homework you'll get done once you get started!

Turn off electronics so they won't distract you.
Be sure to get your homework done soon so you will have free time to yourself later on!
If you're hungry, get a snack and eat while you work. You can't work as well with the distraction of hunger.
Be sure that there is good lighting where you're working.

Don't fall behind! If the phone rings and it's your BFF on the other line, tell her you have lots of homework to do and you'll call her later.
Don't get distracted either. The worst thing you could do is be writing an assignment and the next day you have no clue what you wrote because you weren't paying attention.
