This guide will help you find the perfect person to jam with!

[edit] Steps

  1. Put an ad on Craigslist, in the community section, under musicians. Make sure its clear what sort of person you are looking for(e.g., if you play drums, don't get a trumpet player.
  2. Search for musicians who have their own "seeking jam partner" ads on Craigslist. If you find someone who meets your criteria and lives close by, contact them.
  3. Find local music forums on the Internet and post similar ads like you did on Craigslist. Continue to keep your posts active, you never know when someone might respond.
  4. Network with other musicians and ask new people if they want to be your jam partner or know someone who might.
  5. Put up a flyer at a local music shop.
  6. Ask friends. there usually is a school band. maybe even a drummer on the band may have a set.

[edit] Warnings

  • It may take time finding the right partner, but keep trying.
