How to Get over a Bad Day

Have you had a miserable day you just can't forget? Well, it happens to everyone, and as bad as it seems, it can't last forever. You just have to keep looking forward to something better.

[edit] Steps

  1. Go to bed. There are some days that just don't go your way, but remember that not every day is like that. Go to sleep, so you can head on to the new day, which will be much better!
  2. Do something pleasurable or relaxing. Try taking a bubble bath or doing something else for yourself to make you feel better. You can't control how lucky you get on certain days, but you can do things that make you feel better!
  3. Talk to someone about it. Call up a friend or family member for advice, or sympathy. If you get out all the anger and stress you have, you will feel loads better, and it might help turn around your day!
  4. Try to fix it. If it's because of a problem that came up that may affect you for more than a day, try to find a solution!
  5. Take your mind off of it. Try doing anything that will take your mind off of how bad you are feeling about the way your day went.

[edit] Tips

  • Go over to a friend's house, and have some fun! It will leave you in a much better mood.
  • A bad mood can sometimes trigger a bad day. Make sure you start your morning off right, and never go through the day feeling awful physically.
  • Think of how much better the next day might be. Maybe you won't get a bad grade, or get in trouble for anything.
  • Think happy thoughts! Think of good times you've had, and all the good things in your life.
  • If you need to cry, don't be afraid to! Find some place private to just let it all out.

[edit] Warnings

  • Don't use your bad day as an excuse to yell or be rude to others. It probably wasn't their fault.
  • Murhpy's law might be the cause of your problems. Make sure you just try to do the first tip if it seems like no matter what you do, it turns out badly. Trying to do something relaxing may turn out badly.
  • If it's something personal you are upset about, make sure you call someone close who you can trust!
  • Don't go to bed way too early, you may miss out on things you need to do during the evening!
