Ever wanted to get the perfect picture of your guinea pig? Well, you would think, That's quite easy. But if you've ever tried to take a picture of a guinea pig, you'd think otherwise. Because a guinea pig moves it's head so much, it's hard to get a perfect picture. Well, I suppose you will just have to learn to get the picture right.

[edit] Steps

  1. Find a well-lighted area, and setup any props needed.
  2. Place your guinea pig in a well lighted area.

Place your guinea pig somewhere in the setup area.
  3. Let your guinea pig get comfortable in the area. Don't rush things.
  4. Offer your guinea pig some alfalfa*. (Or any other treat)*

Offer your guinea pig a small amount of treats. I would suggest alfalfa, because it is easy to break, and guinea pigs love it.
  5. Stop feeding your guinea pig.
  6. Guinea pigs turn their heads too much, so you need to let the guinea pig focus on something. Remember, a guinea pigs eyes are on the side of it's head, so you need to hold a treat beside their head.
    • If your guinea pig turns its head toward the treat, hold the treat higher.
  7. Make sure your flash is off and snap the picture when the timing is right.

This may take a few tries to get it perfect.

[edit] Tips

  • If it takes too many tries to get the picture perfect, give the guinea pig a treat, and when it eats the entire treat and it is still chewing, snap the picture.
  • If your guinea pig isn't interested in the treat, it may be full, put it back in the cage, and try again later.

[edit] Warnings

  • Turn flash off at all times! This can blind, scare, or shock a guinea pig!

[edit] Things You'll Need

  • A guinea pig
  • A setup area that is well lighted
  • A camera
  • Some guinea pig treats (i.e. carrots, lettuce, alfafa... e.t.c.)
