Many Pokemon fans were amazed to find that the old way of catching Regirock, Regice, and Registeel did not work in Emerald. Some even cried in frustration and hate. But here(FINALLY!) is how to unlock them in Pokemon Emerald!

[edit] Steps

  1. Get a lot of Ultra balls and some Timer balls, then go to the Sealed Chamber somewhere in the water currents between Slateport and Pacificlog{Routes 132-134}) When you're there, go to the top and use dig. Be aware, you need Pokemon that know Surf, Dive and Dig. You also need relicanth(which can be caught in the Underwater area infront of Sootopolis in the seaweed) in the end of your party and wailord(which can be caught in the corners of Route 129 with a Super Rod) at the front of your party.
  2. Press B while facing the braille and wait for the earthquake.
  3. All Regis have Curse, SuperPower, AncientPower, and their own special move.
  4. To find Regirock, go to the Desert Ruins and enter. Go over to the braille and press B to read it. Then go two steps left, then two steps down. Use rock smash. Save and go battle Regirock. It has Rock Throw.
  5. To find Regice, go to the Ruins on route 105 and enter. Go over to the braille and press B to read it. Staying next to the walls at all times, do a counterclockwise lap around the entire cave. Save and go battle Regice. It has Icy Wind. Be careful it's icy wind lowers your pokemon's speed. (he will use curse a lot so bring a pokemon with yawn.) GOOD LUCK!!!
  6. To find Registeel, go to the Ruins on route 120 and enter. Go over to the braille and press A to read it. Go to the middle of the room and use Flash. Save and go battle Registeel. It has Metal Claw.
  7. Get 50 ultra balls and 20 timer balls.

[edit] Tips

  • All of the Regis are at Level 40 with a special move.
  • Buy a lot of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls! You dont need that many get pokeballs and greatballs. If a Regi was lent to you, use a Repeat Ball.
*You get tons of master balls by going to the battle tower, give a pokemon the master ball, put it in any box, save, withdraw it,take it out go to the lady on the far right, select open level and right after it finishes saying "WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAVE THE GAME", turn it off then on.(this will clone the pokemon to).
  • Save your game before battling any of the Regis, as it is a one-shot thing. No second chances.
  • Whittle the Regi you are battling down HP-wise as far as you can. Then make it fall asleep or paralyze it. Then start chucking Ultra Balls at it. Another thing that helps catch it is Sleeping the Regis.
  • Alternatively, if you have more than one Master Ball due to cloning, just throw a Master Ball. You don't need to battle at all!
  • Remember to have a few Pokémon with high defense when fighting the regis. Their super/ancient power is strong and if not taken seriously, your Pokémon could be dead in seconds.
  • Dig is only available as a TM once. Try only teaching it to a boy. If put to the DayCare, Dig will be given to his kid. Dig can be learned naturally by Nincada and Trapinch in Hoenn.
  • It's a good idea to have a high level Pokémon that has false swipe. It can't cause a faint. Also put it to slp useing hypnosis, sing, slp pwdr.
  • BUT it has to be a high level Pokémon that you use for it to work.
  • Special tip! If you have Pokémon Diamond or Pearl you should migrate all the Regis to Pokémon Diamond or Pearl. after that go to snow point city.and then go to snow point temple (North from the city)(remember to bring all the Regis with you) and then meet my friend Regigigas (a combination of the Regis or something like that) you need to have all the Regis and if you now some clone cheat or something like that to clone Master Balls then fine you can use that, but alone, its hard. It's armed with Confuse Ray/Stomp/SuperPower/Zen Headbutt.
  • Also remember to save "before" and after you have caught each Regi too, or you may be left with nothing.
  • if you have diamond or pearl, migrate the three regis over and go to the snowpoint temple. have the three regis in your party: ice first, rock second and steel third and make your way down to the bottom and go up to the statue of regigigas. talk to it and it will make a funny sound. talk to it again and it will battle you! but be warned, it is level 70 and it is pretty hard to catch. the downfall of regigigas though is that it is only normal type and it's ability cripples its stats so badly it's considered one of the lesser Ledgendaries. A Gallade or Shedinja is recomended. Spiritomb is good too.
  • Shedinja is good as it can Dig and False Swipe. Careful of AncientPower and Regirock's Rock Throw. Shedinja works wonders on Regigigas, but may succumb to Confuse Ray.
  • Save in front of their caves.
  • Wailord and Relicanth may be diffucult to find, and commonly are so it can be frustrating. Also Relicanth is located in the Underwater Routes 124 & 126 and Wailord located at Route 129.
  • SPECIAL HINT:you can clone lots of items at once by going to the PC at battle tower (in battle frointeer) logging on then going to lanette's PC then go to move items an deposite all items that you want to clone then log out then save the game then log back on to lanette's PC (move items) bag every item and then log off then, withdraw it,take it out go to the lady on the far right, select open level and right after it finishes saying "WOULD YOU LIKE TO SAVE THE GAME", turn it off then on.(this will NOT clone the pokemon to).

[edit] Warnings

  • Save your game. This cannot be stressed enough. Countless trainers have neglected to save their game and then fainted the Regis (Regirock, Regice and Registeel) while they were battling!
  • Don't Use Masterball' IF YOU DONT HAVE MORE THAN ONE''''.If you use a masterball you will just waste it. Try using Timer Ball, Pokeball, Greatball, Ultraball and many others. But Masterball please don't.use it on rayquaza insted or really really rare pokemon
