How to Give a Move out Notice to Your Apartment Office
Moving out? You'll want to send a letter to your apartment office to make everything official. Here's how to do it. Check your lease to ensure that this will provide the office with everything they'll need.

- Create a header. The first part of the header should include the following information:
- Your name
- Your street address
- Your city, state and zipcode
- Date that this letter was presented to the manager (At least 30 days in advance of the end of your lease term. Some complexes require 60 days).
- Add your apartment manager's information below yours.
- List the full name and address of the apartment manager:
- Name of Manager
- Blank Apartments Management Office
- Resident Blvd.
- City, state and zipcode of manager
- Give any details in the body of the letter.
- Dear Manager:
According to the terms of my lease, I will vacate my apartment, #123 Blank Apartments, on Mo./Day/Year. I am not planning on leasing this unit or a different apartment unit from this complex, and will clean the apartment in accordance with the move-out cleaning instructions. I would appreciate the return of my security deposit within thirty (30) days after vacating my apartment.
I would like to thank you for your courtesy and services during the period of my lease.
