How to Give a Pretend Newscast
So, you want to be a newscaster? Don't tell the professionals that, but it's easy (at least it's easy to practice)!

- Print some news off of a news station's website.
- In order to get the local news, click on "Local News" on the news station's website.
- Copy the words of the news and click "Paste" on your Word/Email program.
- If you have an Email program, use the following directions.
- Send the newscast to your email adress =-)
- Go into "Sent Mail".
- Click the news you just sent to your friend.
- Click "Print" on the E-mailed news.
- Click "OK".
- If you have a Word program, such as Microsoft Word, use the following directions.
- Click "Paste" on the text box (where you type the text).
- Change the text color if you would like to. (Optional).
- Change the font and/or font size if you would like to. (Optional)
- Click "Print".
- Click "OK".
- Go to the table.
- Sit down.
- Read the news as a newscaster would. Practice the specific elements newscasters use.
- Have your friend/family member tape the newscast.

- A computer to get the news
- A printer to print the news to say it
