How to Keep Occupied While You're at Your Parent's Workplace
Do you always stress, whine, or anything along those lines when your parents say they have to take you to their work? Well, follow these steps to make the best out of your visit!
[edit] Steps
- Read a good book. If you like it, you'll not want to put it down. Reading is a very good way to pass time.
- Call a few friends on a cell phone. Be sure you don't run over your minutes.
- Bring lunch if you stay for a while. You might get hungry!
- Bring money with you if the parent works at a shop. You might be able to buy a little something. Maybe even with a family discount.
- Play a handheld video game.
- Draw. Draw the scenery, a portrait, even a random little cartoon.
- If you have a laptop, bring it along with you! (Go on wikiHow and catch up on everything!)
[edit] Tips
- Bring everything in a backpack. This will make it easier to carry.
- Be quiet when talk to friends or move into a close but separate room.
- For the laptop, bring it in a laptop case.
- Set the ring on your phone on vibrate to avoid bothering the workers.
[edit] Warnings
- Make sure you are allowed to bring these things!
- If you plan to go to a store, because your parent works at a store, DO NOT steal. You could get into big trouble!
