How to Keep Track of Your Grades

Ever wonder if there is a way to know what your grades are before the report card comes home? Now you can.

[edit] Steps

  1. Get a binder.
  2. Put in folders or dividers for every subject.
  3. Fill each section with paper.
  4. On the first sheet of paper in each section, record for every project:
    • The day you got it
    • The day it is due
    • What it is
    • What type of project it is (home work, class work, project, test, or quiz)
    • And what grade you got
  5. Now, take all of your grades and:
  6. Add them all
  7. Divide all of them by the number projects you have but don't count extra credit
  8. Now add on the extra credit points.
    • (ex. Sally has two projects. She got a 100%, a 0, and 5 points of extra credit. She divided it by 2. Her grade is now 50%. When she adds on the extra credit she now has a 55%)
  9. You now have a rough idea of what your grade is.

[edit] Tips

  • Test and quizzes are usually worth more than home work, so talk to your teacher for the ratio.

[edit] Warnings

  • Keep all you grades in that binder and don't lose it (You can throw out the work when the quarter ends).
