Many people use diets that require you to take in less calories in order to lose weight. Well, that works but there are other ways to lose weight and stay healthy at the same time.
[edit] Steps
- Go out to your local drug store or GNC and buy some pills that contain Omega-3 and fatty acids. Now just because it says fatty acid on it doesn't mean that it will make you fat. In fact, it does the opposite. The fish oil in those capsules makes it easier for the extra body fat to be burned off while you're exercising. Rather than storing it, it will be burned off as fuel for your body.
- Another good one is Green Tea. Green tea comes in many forms, including capsules. You can also find it in Vitamin Water "Rescue" made by Glacéau. Green tea helps to boost your metabolism to increase your weight loss potential.
- Eat healthy. If you have a bowl of ice cream after a meal every day, try replacing it with something else. Even low fat or not-fat ice cream would work.
- I also go out to Wal-mart every week and get a protein bar, usually containing Creatine (a nitrogenous organic acid.) If you have a good amount of protein in your diet, and build muscle, you are burning fat while also gaining muscle!
[edit] Tips
- Get as much exercise as possible. The more exercise, the better, but you should get at least 30 minutes of a cardio workout per day.
- Think forward to the future... a slimmer you. Don't start to pig out in the middle of eating healthy, just because you miss eating REAL mayo instead of light. Just keep focused on losing the weight, and you'll be much happier in the end.
[edit] Warnings
- Don't take more than the recommended dose for the Omega-3. Even though it helps in fat burning, it's not good for you to take too much.
- If you decide to use creatine as an aid for muscle gain, check out this website (www.bodybuilding-supplement-guide.com/creatine-dosage.html) or ask your doctor for dosage instructions. Some side effects of using too much can include muscle cramping, occasionally diarrhea, and nausea.
