Be yourself; write poetry and be different.
Stay civil. Just because someone wears The Used t-shirt, it does not make them an enemy. My Chemical Romance would be disappointed in anyone for picking on somebody because they like a certain band . Just because The Used trashes My Chemical Romance doesn't mean that you have to trash their fans or the band. You can even be fans of both bands.
Don't talk about them all the time. It can and will annoy other people, especially if they don't like MCR. Also, don't constantly rave on how hot they are. If you really love them, you shouldn't like them ONLY for their looks. However, it is alright to tell others about the band, but don't force MCR down their throat.
Never say you are the bigger fan. All fans are equal; having gone to six concerts and knowing every fact about the band does not make you a bigger fan than the thirteen year old girl who just heard of them as of 'The Black Parade'.
Never take insults from anybody, but never start fights. If somebody starts with you, don't just sit there and take it, stand up for yourself.
Be happy for them, rather than spiteful.
Remember that Gerard is not the only member of the band. Yes, he works hard at his vocals, and he has an amazing stage presence, but there are four more members of the band. Frank, Bob, Ray, and Mikey work just as hard, if not harder, writing and playing music. Also because there is a lead and rhythm guitarist one is not better then the other, they are both equal. A band is a group effort, and realize that My Chemical Romance wouldn't be what they are today if they were short a member.

You do not have to dress goth, punk, emo or whatever you want to call it, to be a My Chemical Romance fan.
You're not a fan unless you truly like their music. So don't do this if you just think it's "cool" and want to be like someone else.
You don't have to know every single thing about them to be a real fan, just listen to the music.
If you play an instrument, like the drums, bass, guitar, vocals, or even instruments like the violin, learn to play a song or two! It wouldn't make you a bigger fan, but it will make other fans find you interesting/cool.
Remember to listen to more then just one album. Other Chem fans will call you a poser for only listening to The Black Parade.
Don't show people how obsessed you are with them- keep the obsession at home and at their concerts.
Don't be a poser Don't dress like MCR, or have people call you Mikey, Bob, Gerard, Ray, or Frank- that's just weird.
Never resort to violence.

NEVER be ashamed to be a fan of My Chemical Romance. If your peers bash them, just ignore them. Everyone has their own tastes in music and it's normal for not everyone to like a particular band.
Don't like them for their looks but for their music; it doesn't matter if they are hot or not, what matters is the music
Don't hate any of their wives because "you were supposed to marry them."
