How to Make "Wild" Oatmeal

"Wild" oatmeal is actually normal oatmeal with some small additions. The term is derived from the ingredients, which come from the forest, hence, "Wild."

[edit] Steps

  1. Make oatmeal. Normally, you can buy small microwaveable packs in the supermarket. Try to buy a brown sugar pack, and add in the amount of milk specified. Microwave it like you normally would.
  2. Wash about two small strawberries (one big one) per bowl of oatmeal. Carefully slice them into small pieces on a cutting board.
  3. Wash a banana, and slice it into half. Cut it into bite-sized, small chunks. Half a banana is enough per bowl.
  4. Add in a handful of chopped walnuts, which can be purchased at any market in a small bag.
  5. Wash up blackberries and blueberries. Due to their small size, they should be ready to add into the bowl.
  6. Add in all the chopped up fruits and nuts into the oatmeal and stir. The oatmeal should be colorful with berries.
  7. Enjoy your breakfast!

[edit] Tips

  • This also makes a good, filling butlow-calorie snack.
  • Provide boiled eggs and toast with jam on the side. Orange juice is also a good idea.
  • Dried raisins make a good supplement to the oatmeal.

[edit] Warnings

  • Don't go crazy about the ingredients. Too many ingredients can be a bad mix. Generally, the small fruits are good, but adding in any processed foods can be bad.
