How to Make Alloco
An Ivorian (Ivory Coast) native and well know meal favored throughout the African West Coast for its ease of preparation and its unique taste. Alloco is a perfect meal for any occasion at any time of the day.
[edit] Ingredients
- 5 ripe plantain bananas
- 2 tablespoon oil (palm oil is recommended, but any other oil will do)
- Salt

- About 15-20 minutes
- Preheat oil in the frying pan
- Peel and cut the bananas into discs, cubes, or other geometric shapes you like
- Sprinkle the bananas with salt
- Fry the bananas until they turn golden brown
- Remove from oil and drain
- Repeat the process until all plantain bananas are fried
- Sprinkle more salt onto the fried bananas if desired and serve
