How to Make Aloe Vera Gel

Here is a very simple and easy way to create your own homemade aloe vera gel.

  1. Slice off an outer leaf of an aloe plant.
  2. Peel it. Scoop out gel with a spoon.
  3. Place into a blender.
  4. Add the following ingredients to preserve the gel naturally. For every 1/4 cup of aloe leaf, add:
    • 500 mg powdered vitamin c (you can crush tablets into powder)
  5. 400 IU vitamin E
  6. Place in a sterilized, clean glass jar. Will keep for several months in the refridgerator.
  7. Apply several times a day to cuts, wounds, or burns/skin irritations.

  • Peel one side of the leaf and cut the spiky edges off. Use a spoon to scoop out the aloe goo.
  • Vitamins can be crushed w/ the back of a spoon.
  • Refrigerated in a clean glass jar, this gel will stay fresh for a couple of months.

  • Aloe may be consumed orally but never consume too much; it has a laxative effect.
  • Always use clean hands to transfer the gel from the jar to your face and body.

  • Aloe vera leaf/leaves
  • Powdered vitamin C - 500 mg for every 1/4 cup aloe vera leaf
  • 400 IU vitamin E for every 1/4 cup aloe vera leaf (contents of 1 - 2 capsules)
