How to Make Baby's Sweet Potato Puree

A very nutritious one-ingredient vegetable puree recipe for your baby. Sweet potatoes are an excellent source of Vitamin A.

Makes 2/3 cup

[edit] Ingredients

  • 1 large sweet potato (about 12 ounces)
  • Water (if needed)

[edit] Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Use a fork to "stab" holes or prick in the sweet potato. Be sure to go all around and not concentrate in one area.
  3. Use a baking sheet to put the potato in the oven and bake for 1 hour.
  4. Remove the potato from the oven and let it cool for about 30 minutes or until it's cool enough to touch and handle.
  5. Use a vegetable peeler and peel the skin off from the potato. Cut the potato in small pieces.
  6. Place the pieces in a food processor and puree it. Use water to get the right consistency.
  7. Serve immediately, place it in the refrigerator up to 24 hours, or freeze it up to a month.
