How to Make Beef and Bamboo Shoots Stir Fry
This is a quick and easy stir-fry recipe to cook a delicious meal that will serve 4 people.

- 1/4 cup oil
- 400 g sirloin steak
- 1 can sliced bamboo shoots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 8 spring onions
- 1/4 cup toasted sesame seeds

- Cut beef into thin strips across the grain.
- Drain and rinse bamboo shoots.
- Crush garlic and salt together.
- Heat wok over high heat and add oil and swirl.
- Add beef and stir-fry for 1 minute or until beef becomes pink.
- Remove beef and set aside.
- Add third tablespoon of oil if necessary and stir-fry bamboo shoots for 3 minutes until brown.
- Add garlic fish sauce and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add spring onion and stir-fry to 1 minute until it starts to welt.
- Return the beef to the wok and stir-fry quickly for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and toss it with sesame seeds.

- Serve with steamed white rice.
- Feel free to add more oil if necessary.
- For bigger recipes, use 100 g steak per person.
- Peanut oil cooks at higher temperature and is generally more suitable for stir-fries.
- You can also substitute rump steak for sirloin steak.
