How to Make Bruschetta Using Pasta Dura Bread

The prep time for this recipe is 10 minutes, and it serves 4 people. Follow these steps to make some mouth-watering pasta dura bread.

  • extra virgin olive oil
  • fresh bread
  • sea salt
  • black pepper
  • 2 fresh garlic cloves
  • 4 medium sized tomatoes
  • 1 small red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/3 cup fresh basil (chopped)

  1. Toast the pasta dura bread in your oven.
  2. Rub the top of the loaf with a cut garlic clove.
  3. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the bread and set aside.
  4. Dice tomatoes, and drain off excess juice.
  5. Add basil, onion, salt and pepper. (If you're not planning on using this topping, you can add the salt and pepper to the top of the pasta dura bread.)
  6. Mix together, until all ingredients are blended well together.
  7. Spoon mixture over toasted pasta dura bread.
  8. Serve and enjoy.

  • You can also add red peppers, onion slices, or spaghetti sauce, to bake onto the top of the pasta dura bread when it's being toasted.
