How to Make Caraway Water



Caraway water is a useful way to add a slight flavor of caraway to a dish without having to add the actual seeds. This water is easy to make and can be stored in the refrigerator for a long time, ready for use in many different ways.

  • 3 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 2 cups boiling water

  1. Pour the boiling water over the caraway seeds.
  2. Let the water and caraway seeds sit until the water becomes very cold.
  3. Strain the water. Discard the caraway seeds.
  4. Pour the caraway water into a small, clean bottle. Seal or tighten the lid.
  5. Keep in the refrigerator for use as needed. Caraway water goes well as an addition to sauces, soups, salad dressings and casseroles.
