How to Make Chicken Potato Chowder

This meal will make your toddler smile. A cheesy chowder mixed with potatoes and chicken, along with nutritious vegetables is an excellent meal that hits most of the necessary food groups.

  • 1/3 cup of boneless breast or ground chicken (diced and cooked)
  • 1/4 cup of potato (cubed and cooked)
  • 3 tablespoons of shredded mild Cheddar or American cheese
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 2 teaspoons of butter
  • Assorted vegetables, such as peas and carrots, or corn

  1. Get a small saucepan or shallow pot.
  2. Combine all ingredients except for the cheese in the saucepan.
  3. Place the heat on a low heat and simmer for 10 minutes or so.
  4. Sprinkle the cheese on the top and stir thoroughly.
  5. Serve warm or place in an airtight container and in the refrigerator for later use.

  • When microwaving, be sure to stir the food every so often so that the heat gets distributed.
