Ever saw a grasshopper and were hungry at the same time? Kill two birds with one stone with this recipe!

  • Grasshoppers
  • Water
  • Eggs
  • Corn Meal
  • Condiments to taste

  1. Catch some grasshoppers.
  2. Let them sit overnight to "empty" themselves. Alternatively, shake the jar to scare them.
  3. Boil them for five or ten minutes in water.
  4. Remove from water, pat dry.
  5. Remove wings and legs if they are very large.
  6. Dip in beaten eggs.
  7. Drop in a paper or plastic bag with seasoned white or yellow corn meal.
  8. Heat oil to about 350 degree F.
  9. Throw in your grasshoppers.
  10. Pull them out when golden brown.
  11. Drain on paper towels.

  • Ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, or even honey. You'll need it.
  • No kidding about leaving them in a container over night!
