How to Make Fuzzballs
Do you need a portable friend? If the answer is yes, a fuzzball is just what you need.
[edit] Steps
-
Buy sparkly pom-pom balls, googly eyes, and foam hearts at a craft store. You could also cut a heart of the appropriate size from a piece of stiff paper , felt, or craft foam.
- If you want, you can make your own pom-pom out of yarn. It may come out a bit larger than the store-bought ones.
- Use glue to attach the eyes anywhere on the pom-pom. This side will become the front.
-
Glue the foam heart to the bottom of the pom-pom to make the feet.
- Don't put the feet on so that the eyes are too high up, unless you want your fuzzball to look like a frog.
- Give your new critter a name.
[edit] Tips
- Make sure you like the name, because you'll have your little friend for a long time.
- The top of the heart should be facing the front of the pom-pom.
- You can also twist some pipe cleaners to make legs and arms, and glue them onto the pom-pom.
- Choose or cut the heart so that it's about the same size as the pom-pom.
- Fuzzballs are easy to make, so make several in different colors and share them with your friends. They make good toppers for gift boxes, too.
[edit] Warnings
- Don't give a fuzzball to a child who is young enough to be likely to put it in his/her mouth. The small parts might fall off, or even get eaten!
